Fernando Furlan- Brasilia
Mr. Fernando de Magalhães Furlan was the President of the Administrative Council of Economic Defence (CADE) until January 2012. He also worked as a General Counsel of CADE, as a Commissioner, as a Director of the department of trade remedies (DECOM) at the Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade of Brazil, as a chief of staff for the same Ministry, as an acting Minister of State, and also serving as a Chairman of the auditing board of the Brazilian Agency for Industrial Development – ABDI. He was also a member of the Board of the Special Agency for Industrial Financing (FINAME) of the National Bank for Economic and Social Development (BNDES). Mr. Furlan holds a Ph.D. and a Masters Degree from the University of Paris I– Panthéon Sorbonne (France). He received Bachelor of law from University of Brasilia (Brazil) and a BA in Business Administration from University of Santa Catarina (Brazil).
